WHY CHOOSE ONLINE THERAPY SESSIONS?

In adjusting flexibly to the Covid19 pandemic, new forms of mental health support have become available, including online therapy services.

Meeting by Zoom allows us to see and hear each other well and to develop a strong, safe and confidential relationship without the need for travel, waiting rooms or social distancing requirements.

You have the possibility of choosing a service best suited to you that is not dependent on your geographic location.

It is also a light carbon-footprint and zero petrol-emissions service.

WHAT DO I NEED TO ACCESS ZOOM SESSIONS?

You will need a device with a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable and are unlikely to be interrupted. Interruptions are OK though if they happen and babies and pets are always welcome to join us!

Prior to meeting you can download Zoom for free to your device. I will send you a link by email that will connect you to our meeting.

You may choose to arrange appointments at times of the day when family members are out or to go out yourself and sit in a forest or at the beach in your car.  This can be a tranquil and private space for  a session.

HOW IS MY CONFIDENTIALITY ENSURED?

Your confidentiality is of utmost importance in our sessions which are conducted in a private, sound-proof office. No part of these sessions (audio or video) is ever recorded and written notes are stored securely and separately to your personal details.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THERAPY?

Fiona's intention is always to create a safe, warm, supportive and non-judgmental space. There is never pressure for you to talk about anything until you feel ready and comfortable to do so. Sessions provide an opportunity for you to express and process important experiences in your life fully and to learn tools and skills that reduce the impact of painful thoughts and feelings. This in turn allows you to live more fully in the present moment and to be guided in your decisions and actions by your deeper values.
